Frequently Asked Questions
How can I support Carola and her team? / How can I join you?
It’s great that you are so committed. What definitely helps us is if you draw attention to what we do and share our content, for example on your social media or in conversations with others. If you know more about interesting events, blockades, occupations, etc., you can also let us know about them.
Can you support me?
Possibly. What we can’t do is donate money, propose laws and a few other things. You can see what we can do here.
I want to work for Carola and her team, what can I do?
There are currently no available internships or permanent positions either in Brussels or in Germany.
How do I find out when positions in Carola’s team become available?
If we are looking for a new team member, we will advertise the position on this website and on our social media.
Can I send an unsolicited application?
We ask that you to not send unsolicited applications, as it would take a lot of time to send rejections.
Can I join the team as a law student?
Legal trainees should ideally contact a member of parliament who is a lawyer themselves or at least has a fully qualified lawyer on their team. In this case, Parliament sometimes authorizes legal traineeships for an MEP. Please also check with your university beforehand whether a representative’s office is permitted as a voting station. This varies from state to state.
I would like to do an internship as a student, is that possible?
We cannot offer internships for students. On the one hand, we lack the resources and on the other hand the rules of the European Parliament stipulate that interns must be at least 18 years old and have a school leaving certificate.
Can I get an autograph from Carola?
We often receive enquiries as to whether Carola can sign something or send an autograph. It is not possible for us to fulfil the many requests. To make it fair, we have decided not to send autographs in general.
Can I visit you?
Each year, MEPs can invite a maximum of 100 people to the European Parliament divided into five groups each which may have no fewer than 10 participants and subsidize this trip. Due to time constraints, we will not be able to invite subsidized visitors until the end of 2024.
We have also decided to only financially support groups of people who cannot afford to travel to us without this money. We would like to invite activists from a wide range of movements to join us. We can only accept unsubsidized groups if we have the appropriate time resources. Send your inquiries to: team@carolarackete.info
